When Yuto and Umei give birth to their world's protagonist, they learn that they're destined to be killed off in the first episode. They struggle to cheat death, derail the plot, and raise their bundle of equal parts joy and existential doom.
Will they be able to build a family when the start of their daughter’s story means the end of theirs?

Setup
Prologue takes place in a parody of a generic fantasy story. Written into existence by a terrible author known to the character’s as “The Creator”, the world is locked in an unending war between rebels and the evil organization known as “The Dark” (they ran out of budget for branding). It’s the setup for your ordinary action story that happens to be filled with not so ordinary characters.
